The vertical shank has 8 height adjustment positions with a maximum drop of 8 inches and rise of 1 inch (shank cannot be flipped to rise position). For dependable towing strength, the Rebellion XD cushion hitch ball mount is tested and rated for 10,000 pounds for the 2-inch ball and 20,000 pounds for the 2-5/16-inch ball (limited to lowest-rated towing component). It has a standard 2-1/2-inch x 2-1/2-inch shank.
